Patricia "Pat" P. Hicks

Patricia "Pat" Pendergraft Hicks age 82 of 1283 Tellowee Road, Eden passed away on Saturday November 15, 2014 at her home.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 11 am at The First Baptist Church of Eden with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Hicks was born July 24, 1932 in Rich Square, NC to the late Gradon O'Kelly and Maria Burnett Pendergraft. She was a graduate of Meredith College, Class of 1953. She worked in the past at the office of Morehead High School and later at Wall Insurance but her favorite job was being Wife and Mother to her husband and children. Pat was past president of the Border Book Club and a member of the Town and Country Garden Club.

Surviving are husband, William D."Bill" Hicks Sr. of the home; daughter, Kimberly Hicks Laney of Apex; sons, William D."Danny" Hicks, Jr. and wife Debbie of Alpharetta, GA., and Anthony Clark "Tony" Hicks and wife Jeany of Wake Forest,NC; granddaughters, Allison O'Kelly Laney Harris and husband Steven, Grayson Sierra Hicks and Bailey Rose Hicks; grandson, William D."Trey" Hicks III; two great-grandchildren, Luke Evan Harris and Josie Clark Harris; brother, Gradon O'Kelly "Sonny" Pendergraft, Jr. and wife Jane and niece, Jimese Pendergraft Sherrill and husband Jerry.

Family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6-8 pm at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home.
