Patricia Chatman Light

Patricia Ann Chatman Light, age 74 of Brookdale Eden, passed away on Sunday February 4, 2018 at UNC Health & Rehabilitation Center.

A graveside service will be held 1 pm Tuesday at Overlook Cemetery.  The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the home of her daughter, 183 Nance Street, Eden.

Patricia was born May 13, 1943 and grew up in the Spray Section of Eden to the late Bill Chatman and Agnes Boothe McDaniel.  She was formerly employed by Candy’s Grill and Parkvue Mart. She enjoyed playing Bingo and loved spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death along with her parents by son, Joseph Mark Hooker; grandchildren, Patricia Nicole Hooker and Joseph Darrin Gauldin; brother, Bo Chatman; sisters, Nancy, Joy and Judy Chatman.

Surviving are daughter, Donna Hazza and husband Sam; sons, Danny Hooker and Todd Hooker, former husband, Tim Light all of Eden; Grandchildren, Dawn, Ryan, Timmy and Dusty Hooker and Melonie Irvin; great grandchildren, Blake Howell, Cory, Jarrod, Axton, Mackenzie and Elijah Hooker.
