Oscar Love Allen

Oscar Love Allen, 89, of 807 Summit Road in Eden, passed away Sunday evening, May 4, 2014.

A funeral service will be held at 4 PM on Wednesday, May 7, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Ridgeview Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Allen was born January 30, 1925 in Cascade, Virginia; son of the late Acie and Baby Ruth Wright Allen. He was a US Navy veteran and a retiree of Wayne Jones Ford, Inc.

He is survived by his son, Donnie Allen and wife, Teresa of Winston-Salem; two daughters, Debra Gelinas and husband, Donald, Jr. of Stoneville, and Gay McDonald and husband, George of Stoneville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary S. Allen; and daughter, Betty Sue Allen.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
