Oral Lee Adkins

Oral Lee Adkins, 69, of Eden passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Hospice of Rockingham County’s Gibson House.

A funeral service will be held at Noon Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Ridge-View Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 11am-Noon, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at other times at the home, 2268 Price Rd, Eden.

Oral was born December 22, 1953 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late John Adkins and Edna Harrington Adkins. He attended United Baptist Church on Price Rd in Eden. Oral worked at Joyce Tire for many years and later in parts delivery at O’Reilly Auto Parts.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Sara Calhoun Adkins; son, Jason Adkins, Sr. of Blacksburg, VA; grandsons, Jason Adkins, Jr., Devin Adkins; stepdaughter, Melinda Collins of Eden, NC; stepson, Elliott Trent of Eden, NC; brother, James Harrington of Virginia Beach, VA; sisters, Virginia A. Murray of Eden, NC, Mary Adkins of Stuart, VA.
