Opal Frances Williams Brown

Opal Frances Williams Brown, 93, passed away Tuesday evening, December 13, 2016, at Morehead Nursing Center.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, December 16 at Stoneville Pentecostal Holiness Church.  Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Opal was born September 16, 1923 in to the late Earl Richard Williams and Lillie Huff Williams.  She was a member of Stoneville Pentecostal Holiness Church.  Opal proudly served many years working alongside her husband as a pastor's wife.

She is survived by her three children, James M. Brown, Michael Lee Brown, Sr. and Jenelle Brown Hamons and husband, Guy M. Hamons, all of Eden;  five grandchildren, James R. Brown of High Point, Michael Brown Jr. and wife, Nina of Eden, Joshua L. Hamons and wife, Jennifer of Eden, Carter E. Brown of Roxboro and Mikayla Brown of Eden;  six great-grandchildren, Brennen Brown, Blair Brown, Abram Hamons, Titus Hamons, Jacob Hamons, and Jordan Hamons;  four step-grandchildren, Johnny Harrell, Guy Hamons, Jr., Ashley McCrickard, and Taylor Peach ; and sister, Mary Patterson of Madison.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Reverend Tuttle Monroe Brown and her grandson, Brian S. Hamons.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Stoneville Pentecostal Holiness Church and other times at 1110 Willow Street in Eden.
