Oneida Powell

Oneida Faye Chandler Powell age 84 formerly of Eden, NC , passed away at McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville, SC on Friday March 21, 2014.

A graveside service will be held 12 noon on Monday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens on the Ashley Loop Road, Reidsville, NC. A visitation will be held from 10:45 am til 11:45 am at Fair Funeral Home prior to preceding to the cemetery.

Mrs. Powell was born September 11, 1929 in Rockingham County to the late Ira and Corrina Glenn Chandler. Oneida was a homemaker and attended Draper Public Schools and was a member of Immanuel Friends Church in Eden.

She was preceded in death along with her parents by her husband, Hubert Carlton Powell; brother, Jessie Chandler and sister, Helen Chandler Shipwash.

Surviving are daughters, Brenda Powell Smith and Kim Powell Skeens; son, Ron C. Powell; eight grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
