Ofus "Butch" Taylor Fain, Jr., 67, of Eden, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018, at his home.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 27th, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of his daughter, Christina Bowman.
Butch was born September 4, 1950 in the Spray section of Eden, NC, to the late Ofus Taylor Fain, Sr. and Mildred Hedrick Fain. He was a graduate of Morehead High School, class of 1968 and was previously employed by T&S Fire Equipment. Butch was of the Baptist faith. He loved animals, loved to travel, enjoyed classic cars and most of all loved spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by his wife, Toni Cox Fain of Eden; daughters, Bridgett Snody and husband, Frankie and Christina Fain Bowman and husband, Richard; son, Glenn Fain; two grandchildren, Travis and Austyn Snody; brother, Albert Fain and wife, Tammy; sisters, Debbie Shockley and Bea "Speedy" Woodall, all of Eden; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Bev Coleman of Smith Mountain Lake, VA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his aunt, Frances Maddison.
