Nora "Montine" Bondurant

Nora “Montine” Bondurant, 90, passed away Thursday morning, August 13, 2020 at Brian Center in Eden.

A graveside service will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, August 20, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. She will lie in state at Fair Funeral Home on Wednesday afternoon for those that wish to come by to pay their respects.

Montine was born November 14, 1929 in Rockingham County, NC, daughter of the late Joseph H. Bondurant and Nora Purdy Bondurant Heffinger.  She was a member of Draper Christian Church.  Montine was crowned Miss Tri-City in 1948 and she worked as a flight attendant for National Airlines from 1950-1953.  She enjoyed working in her mother's dress shop, loved playing tennis, and traveling the world.

She is survived by her son, William “Bill” L. McKendree, Jr. of Melbourne, FL; daughter, Nora “Alison” McPherson of Maine; and one grandchild.
