Naomi Moore Murphy Wade

Naomi Moore Murphy Wade, 82, 823 Summit Road in Eden, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at her home. A funeral service will be held at 4 PM on Friday, April 1, at Fair Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Overlook Cemetery. Mrs. Wade was born January 4, 1929, daughter of the late Benjamin and Addie Carter Moore. She was a retiree of American Tobacco Company after 40 years of service. Surviving is her husband, Walter Wade of the home; daughter, Kim Thompson and husband, Gary; son, Kenny Murphy and wife, JoDell; step-daughter, Martha Corum and husband, Mike; five grandchildren, Reid Thompson, Jennifer Hopper, Kenneth Murphy Jr., Kyle Corum, and Kirsten Corum; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Wallace Murphy; three brothers and one sister. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mrs. Wade's caregivers; Marie Clifton, Advanced Home Health Care; Dr. Terry Daniel, and numerous others. Visitation will be held Thursday evening, 6 - 8 PM at Fair Funeral Home.
