Nannie "Mae" Newman Stump

Nannie "Mae" Newman Stump of 319 S. Center Street in Eden, passed away Friday, August 24, 2018, at her home.  

A graveside service will be held at 1 PM on Monday, August 27, at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends Sunday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home.

Mrs. Stump was born May 2, 1932 in Leaksville, NC, to the late Jessie James Newman and Nannie Sue Robertson Newman.  She was a retiree of Fieldcrest Mills and was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.  Mae loved doing crafts, sewing, crocheting, and painting pictures.

She is survived by her husband, William Lewis Stump, Jr. of the home;  son, David Blane Law and wife, Patricia of Ridgeway, VA;  seven grandchildren, Lisa Moretz, Thomas Wayne Law, Jr., Shane Wilson,  Jackie Law Harding, Kathy Hatcher, Jennifer Law and David Law, Jr.;  eight great-grandchildren, Thomas Wayne Law III, Michelle Law, David Stultz, Jr., Thomas Wayne Stultz, Angel Marie Moretz, Michael Eugene Moretz,  Krysta Page Wilson, and Cameron Michael Wilson;  and one great-great-granddaughter, Ariel Nicole Dyson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Wayne Law.
