Nancy Blanton

Nancy Smith Blanton, 69, of Eden, passed away Friday, August 9, 2019 at the Hospice Home of Rockingham County after a long illness.

A funeral service will be held 1 pm Monday August 12, 2019 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Roselawn Burial Park in Martinsville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 12 – 1 pm and other times at the home of her sister Sandra Hall, 270 Tanglebrook Trail (Quesinberry Estates) Eden.

Nancy was born August 11, 1949 High Point, NC to the late Ralph Edward and Nancy Hensdale Smith.  Nancy was a graduate of Martinsville High School Class.

She was retired from Bank of America as a Vice President of Loan Management in Charlotte. Nancy was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church in Charlotte and loved her church very much.  She moved to the Eden area to look after her mother and attended Floyd Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son; Kevin Blanton of Bassett, VA; sisters, Pat Martin (James) and Sandra Hall ( Gary) both of Eden and Wanda Shelton of Stoneville; brother, Bobby Smith (Cathy) of Reidsville; nieces, Angela Clark, Renee Price and Wendy Wilson; nephews, Michael Yeatts, Alex Shelton and Justin Smith; several great nieces and nephews and cousins.

Nancy was preceded in death along with her parents and by a brother, William R. Smith.
