Myrtle Haizlip Farris

Myrtle Haizlip Farris, 90, passed away Monday evening, November 18, 2019, at Caswell House in Yanceyville.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, November 21, at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens.

A native of Rockingham County, NC, Mrs. Farris was born October 17, 1929 to the late Stephen and Carrie Ward Haizlip. 

She is survived by her two daughters, Shirley Farris Conner (Earnest) of Stoneville and Sharon Farris Sexton (James "Bo") of Yanceyville;  four grandchildren, Jan Reneau (Doug), Cheryl Shively (Neal), Kim Miller (Bryan), and Jamie Sexton;  four great-grandchildren, James, Samantha, Zac, and Emerie;  sisters, Jane Sharpe and Jewellene Wright (Leslie), both of Stoneville; and brother, Dewey Haizlip (Amy) of Greensboro.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Junior Farris; brothers, Stephen, Ruben, Floyd, Ollie and William Haizlip; sisters, Ann Cook and an infant sister.
