Morton Andrew Solomon, 75, of
Stoneville,
NC, passed on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at
Moses Cone Health Center in
Greensboro, NC.
A funeral service will be held 11am, Friday, February 25, 2022, at The Refuge, 213 S Second St, Mayodan, NC 27027, with burial to follow in Stoneville City Cemetery. A visitation will be held 5-7pm, Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Fair Funeral Home in
Eden, NC.
Morton was born August 24, 1946, in Henry County, VA, to the late Robert Andrew Solomon and Ethel Joyce Solomon. He attended
Drewy Mason High School and joined the Army in December 1964, serving until December 1966 and later serving in the Army Reserves. Morton fought for his country, serving 11 months and 22 days in
Vietnam. He worked at J&J Southeast and Container as a printer until his retirement. He enjoyed riding in his truck, hanging out with his friends, eating honey buns, and drinking coffee. He loved watching cartoons with his grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Kimberly Solomon (Ethan Frank) of Alameda, CA, Kelly Alicia Irwin (Daniel) of Valparaiso, FL, Kerry Solomon of Stoneville, NC; grandchildren, Kelsey Worrell and Levi Irwin; brothers, Ruben Solomon (Darlene) of Ridgeway, VA, Johnny Solomon (Charlene) of Ridgeway, VA.
In addition to his parents, Morton was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia Giacobbe Solomon; brother, George Solomon; sister, Rachel Price.
