Milton Lee "Bo" Barnes

Milton Lee “Bo” Barnes, age 67, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at the UNC-Chapel Hill Hospital

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 16th at 11am in the Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday, November 15th from 5 to 7pm at Fair Funeral Home. Friends may also visit the family at 177 Bruins Lane in Stoneville.

Bo was born on September 23, 1954, in Eden, to John Barnes and Margaret Edwards Barnes. He was a Technician/Supervisor for Southern Plate Glass. Bo loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He spent a great deal of time at the beach and he loved to fish. Bo was a folk artist, creating works of art from used and old materials. Above all, the family wants it to be known that “he was the best father and papa ever” and will be greatly missed.

Bo is survived by son, Mike Barnes of West Virginia; daughters, Mandy Bruins (Raymond) of Stoneville, Melody Hutchins (Jason) of Kernersville; brothers, Jerry Barnes (Connie) of Eden, Kenneth “Shorty” Barnes of Eden and James “Mac” Barnes (Michelle) of Stoneville; sisters Elaine Ladd of Stoneville and Brenda Barnes of Eden; grandchildren, Noah, Aaron and Sophia Bruins of Stoneville.

In addition to his parents, Bo is predeceased by brothers, Steve and Donald Barnes of Eden and brother-in-law, Albert Ladd of Stoneville.
