Milton Bradley Hill

April 22, 1935 — January 11, 2014

Milton Bradley Hill age 78 of Stoneville,NC passed away on Saturday January 11, 2014 at Morehead Nursing Center in Eden. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday January 14, 11:00 am at Stoneville City Cemetery. Reverend Randy Jessup of First Baptist Church of Mayodan, NC will conduct the service.

Mr. Hill was born April 22, 1935 in Stoneville, NC to the late James Harvey and Gertrude Stanford Hill. He lived his entire life in the home where he was born. Milton was a graduate of Stoneville High School where he was active in sports. His love of sports continued as a baseball umpire and a devoted fan of the Boston Red Socks. He retired from Southeast Container Corp. in Martinsville, VA with 36 years of service. After retirement, he enjoyed playing golf with his buddies, eating with the breakfast bunch, Thursday's at Mope's, and growing vegetables. The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Morehead Nursing Center.

He is survived by his sister; Elaine McCall and husband Guy of Greensboro, nephews Matthew Hill and wife Connie of Stoneville, Dwain Hill, Byron Hill of Rocky Mount, NC, H. Guy McCall III of Greensboro, nieces Debbie Flinchum of Stoneville, Laurie Kaplan and husband Jim of Winnetka, IL along with several great nieces and pephews. He was preceded in death along with his parents by two brothers, Kermit and Alton Hill, a nephew and a long time special friend.

A visitation will be held from 6 -8 pm on Monday evening January 13, at Fair Funeral Home.
