Michael Ray Farmer

Michael Ray Farmer, 72 of Eden, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at UNC Rockingham Hospital in Eden.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm Friday, December 19, 2025, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Dan View Cemetery.

Michael was born December 2, 1953, in Rockingham County, North Carolina, to the late Vernon Lee Farmer and Pauline Mildred Roberson Farmer. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1975 to 1979. Michael worked as a Machine Operator for Fieldcrest Mills until his retirement. He loved oil painting and classic cars. Michael enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving are his wife, Sherron Farmer of the home; sons, Michael Nathan Farmer of Ridgeway, VA, and Justin Vernon Farmer of the home. In addition to his parents, Michael is preceded in death by his brother, Danny Lee Farmer.
