Melissa Ann Ferguson Moore, 55, of Eden, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at UNC Rockingham Health Care in Eden.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 7th at 3pm at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with visitation from 2 to 3pm.

The family will receive friends at the home of her sister, Amy, at 413 Thomas St, Eden, NC, 27288.

Melissa was born February 17, 1967, in Rockingham County, NC. She is a graduate of Morehead High School. Melissa worked as a manager at Motel 6 in Maine until retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, William Barry Moore of the home; son, William Bradley Moore; grandchildren, Autumn and Elijah; parents, Dorothy Pyrtle Ward and James J. Ward; father, James D. Ferguson; sisters, Patricia Ward Canaday of Mayodan, NC, Amy Michelle Ward of Eden, NC; sisters-in-law, Doris Moore (Alan) of Harrells, NC, Betty Fraser of Harrells, NC; brother-in-law, Forest Moore of Eden, NC; twelve nieces; nine nephews.

Melissa is preceded in death by her brother, Michael Ward; maternal grandparents, Walter and Betty Pyrtle, James and Maxine McGuire; paternal grandparents, Jack and Delores Ward.
