Medre Adkins Cruise

Medre Adkins Cruise, age 80 of 332 Daniel Adkins Street, Eden passed away Friday evening July 28, 2018 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm Tuesday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Overlook Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 - 8 pm at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.

Mrs. Cruise was born July 21, 1938 in Rockingham County to the late Andrew and Mae Light Adkins.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Draper.  Medre enjoyed crafts such as sewing, crocheting, making jewelry and wood crafts.  She was a lover of cats.

Preceding her in death along with her parents was husband Kenneth Cruise.

Surviving are son, Barry Cruise and wife Tina of Stoneville; sister, Janice Corum and husband Curtis of Ruffin; granddaughter, Kendra Holley and husband Caleb of Brosville, VA; grandson, Brian Cruise of Eden and great granddaughter, Hayley Cruise; sister-in-law, Lucy Bradford of Eden; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
