Matthew Shawn Ragland

Matthew Shawn Ragland, 35, of Eden went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 3, 2025 at UNC Rockingham Hospital in Eden.

A graveside service will be held Friday, May 8, 2026 at 11am at Dan View Cemetery in Eden.

Matthew was a kind-hearted, loving and caring son, brother, grandson and uncle. He was fun-loving and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was also a huge wrestling and Eagles fan and will be greatly missed by all of those who loved him.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Pamela Estes Ragland; sister Taylor Nicole Ragland; nephews, Jordan “JJ” Tyler Woods II and Tanner James Lee Woods; grandparents, Ralph Estes, Jr., Ken and Judy Lowe, Kenneth and Nadine “Pat” Patterson.

Matthew is preceded in death by his father, Mark Eugene Ragland.
