Sissy was born, in the cold of January 19th, 1942, in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Gilmer Fred Caudle and Mary Gertrude Smith Caudle. Before the beginning of her new family, she worked at the Martinsville Bulletin where she met her soul mate, Gerald, then relocated to DuPont for 13 years. Many years later, after the birth of her 2 sons, she became a bus driver for Henry County Public Schools. Mary, in her early years, loved walking with her friends and reading. She loved being in the sun, most importantly being in the sun with her sons, Marc and Eric. She loved the beach and later on in her life would tell the stories of those times. Later on, she would share her heart with her grandchildren, becoming a volunteer in their lives. Giving her soul to their happiness and wellbeing.
Sissy is survived by her loving husband, Gerald Wilson; sons, Marcus (Diana) Wilson and Eric Wilson; grandchildren, Kendall, Kyle, Camryn, and Tristan; great-grandchild, Layla; and brothers, Freddy, Bobby, Mike, and Dennis Caudle.
In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her brother, David Caudle.
