Mary Shinn Ross

Mary Ann Shinn Ross, age 87 of Eden, passed away early Saturday morning May 25, 2019 at Curis at Reidsville (formerly Avante Nursing Center).

There will be a graveside memorial service for Mary and her late husband, Kenneth Ross at 10am at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church Cemetery on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 with Pastor Grover Holder officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.

Mrs. Ross was born in Rockingham County on March 4, 1932 to the late Mr. Thomas “T.P.” Shinn and Mrs. Mattie Krimminger Shinn.  Mary was a graduate of Leasksville High School.  She was a co-owner and operator of Ross Printing Company. 

Mary is survived by her sister, Jean Shinn Hart and husband, Richard of Nashville, TN; brother, Conrad S. Shinn of Pensacola, FL.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Burrill Ross; her brother, Hal D. Shinn and her sister, Kathy J. Shinn.
