Mary Hester Christopher Knight

Mary Hester Christopher Knight, age 93 of 607 Roberts Street, Eden passed away on Saturday June 23, 2018 at UNC Rockingham Health Care and Nursing Center.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm on Tuesday at Bethel Baptist Church on 313 Cedar Street. Burial will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6-8 pm at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home.

Mrs. Knight was born September 2, 1924 in Rockingham County, NC to the late John Ernest Christopher and Lillie Webster Christopher.  She loved her church and was very active at Bethel Baptist Church, and was the pastor’s wife for many years.

Preceding her in death along with her parents was husband Carl Gray Knight, brother, John Ernest Christopher, Jr. and grandson, Joshua Daniel Chambers.

Surviving are daughters, Tanis Knight Chambers and Wrenn Knight Price and husband Kenneth all of Eden; grandsons, Jeremy David Chambers,  Nathan Ray Price and Justin Gray Price and wife Mandy; granddaughter, Allyson Renae Price; great granddaughter, Emma Chambers and sister, Irene Pennington of Stokesdale.

Memorial contributions may be offered to Bethel Baptist Church, 313 Cedar Street, Eden, NC 27288
