Mary C Pennington

Mary C. Pennington, 97, passed away on Friday, December 30,2022 at the Eden Rehab Center. 

A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Reidsville, NC.  A visitation will be held Thursday, January 5th at Fair Funeral Home Chapel from 1-1:45pm. 

Mary was born May 23, 1925 to the late Arthur William Cooper and Sara Elizabeth Smith in Leaksville, NC. She graduated from Leaksville High School in 1942. She graduated from Rockingham Community College with an associate degree in secretarial science. She attended First Baptist Church.  Mary worked for Annie Penn Hospital and Rockingham County Department of Social Services for many years.

She has lived the last eleven years of her life at the Brian Center in Eden.  She will be missed by those who loved her.

Left to cherish her memories are her two sons, John Pleasant (Cynthia) and Larry Pleasant (Jean). She was preceded in death by her daughter, Frances Lineberry and son-in-law Gary Lineberry. Mary had four grandchildren; Tabitha, Jacob, Veronica and Ian. 

Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Darrell Pennington.
