Mary Boaz Wilson

Mary Lee Boaz Wilson, 89, of Ridgeway, VA, passed Thursday, May 5, 2022 at the Hospice Home of Rockingham County.

A graveside service will be held 2pm Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Mt View Cemetery in Ridgeway, VA. For those unable to attend the service, Mary will lie-in-repose at Fair Funeral Home in Eden, NC, from 12 noon Friday, May 6, 2022 until 12 noon, Saturday, May 7, 2022.

Mary was born December 3, 1932, in Reidsville, NC, to the late Richard Boaz and Gravely Eggleston Boaz. Mary was a member of Northside Baptist Church. Though mostly a homemaker, she worked for many years in quality control at Pannell Knitting Co. Mary also worked in the cafeteria at Drewry Mason and Axton Elementary Schools. Mary enjoyed sewing and working in her flower garden.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Isaac Wilson (Debbie) of Ridgeway, VA, Robert Wilson, Jr. of Ridgeway, VA, Reba Haley (Barry) of Axton, VA; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Nancy Odell, Helen Denny, Beulah Patterson; brother, Randolph Boaz; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death, along with her parents, by her loving husband of 68 years, Robert Edward Wilson; daughter, Phyllis Wilson; grandson, Charles Gann; sister, Doris Odell; brothers, John Boaz and James Richard Boaz.
