Martin Dubra Harris, Jr.

August 12, 1949 — December 13, 2024

Martin Dubra Harris, Jr., age 75, formerly of 389 Hooker Farm Road, Martinsville. Va., passed away on Friday, December 13th 2024 at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, NC.

A funeral service will be held at 1pm Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Spray United Methodist Church in Eden, NC, with burial to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024 from 4-6pm at Fair Funeral Home.

Martin was born August 12, 1949 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Martin D. Harris, Sr. and Louise H. Harris. He graduated from Morganton High School and later from Lenoir-Rhyne University. He was a music teacher for 30 years in Laurinburg, NC and 12 years in Pittsylvania County, VA. Martin also was a church organist for many churches; Red Springs UMC, Antioch Presbyterian Church in Raeford, NC, Fieldale UMC and Wesley UMC. 

Surviving are sons, Gregory S. Harris and wife Rebecca of Greenville, NC, and Kelvin Darr of Texas; granddaughters, Kaeden and Avery Harris.

He was preceded in death along with his parents, by wife, Martha Coleman Harris.
