Marjorie P. Meade

Marjorie P. Meade, 88, of Eden, NC, passed Thursday, July 7, 2022 at UNC Rockingham Health Care in Eden.

A graveside service will be held 11am Monday, July 11, 2022 at DanView Cemetery in Eden. A visitation will be held prior to the service, from 10:00-10:45am, Monday, July 11, 2022, at Fair Funeral Home in Eden. The family will receive friends at other times at the home of Sherrie Watts, 702 Ayden Rd, Eden, NC 27288.

Marjorie was born March 3, 1934, in Baltimore, MD, to the late Eugene Edward Pilkerton and Mary Cathryn Floyd Pilkerton. She worked as a sewer for Fieldcrest Mills in Eden until she retired after over 30 years of service. Marjorie was Baptist by faith. She loved her family and spending time with them.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Arthur Sharpe, Jr. (Gerianne) of Las Vegas, NV, James Sharpe (Mona) of Madison, NC, Lisa Barrow (George) of Martinsville, VA, Robert Sharpe (Jody) of Eden, NC, Carla Cochran (John) of Martinsville, VA, Sherrie Watts (Terry) of Eden, NC; grandchildren, Jennifer Rico (Juan), Robin Sharpe, Jordan Chochran (Jesse James), Josh Cochran (Haley), Jennifer Smoot (Chris), Ryan Sharpe, Samantha Watts, Buddy Watts, Denita House (Dylan), Patrick Laughter, Vivian Smith, Jimmy Sharpe, Hayden Shape, Mark Ramey, Jr. (Amanda) Kristi Ramey, Jason Ramey (Miranda) Kevin Ramey, Jessica Ramey, Dawn Sutherland, Leigh Ann Manuel, Tracey Compton (Jake), Darrell Compton; great-grandchildren; sister, Cathryn Smith of Maryland; nieces and nephews, Peter Clements, Eugene Clements (Teresa), Ronald Clements, Patricia Baker (Joe), June Allan

In addition to her parents, Marjorie is preceded in death by her loving husband, Gene Meade; daughter, Debra Ramey.
