Marjorie Myers Tysor

Marjorie Myers Tysor, 90, passed away Sunday morning at Morehead Nursing Center where she has been a resident for ten years. There will be a graveside service held Tuesday 2pm at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Reidsville by Fair Funeral Home. Mrs. Tysor was born in Rockingham County January 8th, 1920 to the late William Hobert Myers and Mary Belle Newman Myers. She was of the Baptist faith. Along with her husband they were the original owners of Sealtest Dairy Bar and Grill from the late 1940's to the early 1960's. Marjorie Tysor is survived by her daughter, Linda Johnston and husband Jerry of Danville, VA, one sister Bobbie Wikle of Mayodan, NC, 3 grandchildren, Jay Johnston and wife Rebecca of Danville, VA, Lisa Johnston of Danville, VA, Dawn Hanson and husband Jeff of Louisiana, and 5 Great Grandchildren, Tysor and Olivia Hanson, Dalton Pruitt, Evan and Andrew Johnston. She was preceded in death by her brother "Shag" Myers, and two sisters Nancy Link and Gladys Weldon, and her husband Ralph Leon Tysor. Visitation will be held 12:30pm - 1:30 pm at Fair Funeral Home prior to the graveside, and at other times at 318 Taft St in Eden In Lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Hospice of Rockingham County: 2150 NC 65, Wentworth, NC 27320.
