Margaret Mason Shelton

Margaret Mason Shelton, 87, of 187 Morgan Ford Road in Ridgeway, VA, passed away early Wednesday morning, August 2, 2017, at Morehead Memorial Hospital.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, August 5 at Overlook Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home.

Mrs. Shelton was born December 12, 1929 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Watt H. Shelton and Carrie O'Dell Shelton.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Ridgeway and a Patron of the Arts at Bassett Historical Library.  Margaret received a degree in nursing from RCC and was a retiree of E. I DuPont after 45 years of service.

She is survived by her daughter, Ann Lively and husband, Clay of Ridgeway, VA;  and grandchildren, Monica Lively of Stuart, VA, William A. Dodson of Roanoke, VA and Casey L. Vick (Anthony) of Reidsville, NC.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Euel Paschal O'Dell; siblings, Watt H. Shelton, Jr., Alice S. Wilson, and George P. Shelton;  and nephew, Robert D. Shelton.
