Margaret Kelly Corum

Margaret Kelly Corum, 90, passed away early Monday morning, December 28, 2009 at Morehead Nursing Center. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, December 30, at First United Methodist Church (Draper) with Reverend Sue Anne Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Danview Cemetery. A native of Rockingham County, Mrs. Corum was born December 15, 1919, daughter of the late George Washington and Ida Goins Kelly. She was a member of First United Methodist Church (Draper) where she participated in the Ladies Circle there, as well as the God Golden Group. Mrs. Corum was a member of the Morehead Memorial Hospital Volunteer Auxillary and was a retiree of Fieldcrest Mills. She loved her family, church, and friends, along with her nieces and nephews. Surviving is her son, Mike Corum and wife, Martha of Eden; daughter, Robin Corum and special friend, Ray Gibson; grandchildren, Kyle Corum and wife, Kelly, and Kirsten Corum; and great-grandchild, Madison. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Corum; grandchild, Kelly Wade Corum; and six sisters. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, 6 - 8 PM at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of the son, 124 Oak Ridge Drive in Eden.
