Lucille O'Dell Archibald

Lucille O’Dell Archibald, 93, passed away Friday, February 26th at the Gibson House (Rockingham Hospice Home) in Reidsville, NC.

  A cryptside service will be held Tuesday, March 2nd at 2:00pm in the Overlook Cemetery Mausoleum.  Ms. Archibald will lie in repose on Monday, March 1st at Fair Funeral Home from noon until 6:00pm for those wishing to pay their respects and sign the register book. The service will be live-streamed on Facebook for those who are unable to attend the cryptside service. 

Lucille was born April 14, 1927 to the late Claude Glidwell O’Dell and Nancy Jane Thompson O’Dell in Leaksville, NC.  She was a graduate of Leaksville High School in 1944.  She retired from Joe Chandler Pharmacy of Eden as a sales clerk. 

She is survived by her sister Ann Sellers (Herb) and a brother Frank D. O’Dell both of Eden.  She is also survived by her grandson, Michael Wayne Archibald, great-grandson, Alex Archibald and great-granddaughter, Alicia Archibald. 

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Archibald; son Michael Stephen Archibald; brother, Claude William O’Dell, two sisters: Gracie O’Dell Wagoner and Jane O’Dell Griffin; Granddaughter Beth Archibald.
