Louise Haynes Tudor, age 94 of Eden, North Carolina passed away on Tuesday, August 24 at UNC Rockingham Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center with her son and daughter in law by her side.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 26, 2021 at First Church Of The Brethren. Burial will follow at Overlook Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and at other times at her sons residence, 414 Walker Hill in Eden.
Mrs. Tudor was born on July 15, 1927 in Spray, N.C. to the late Willie Burton Haynes and Maggie Boyte Haynes. She worked thirty six years in textile, first at Dan River Mills then Cone Mills and most recently at Fieldcrest Mills. She was a member of the First Church Of The Brethren where she was baptized in 1939 along with several other young girls. She had a passion for music, especially jazz music. She also sang in the church choir for many years.
Mrs. Tudor is survived by her son, Garry Tudor and wife Sharon of Eden; grand daughters, Wendy Pittis and husband Bob, of Stuart, VA and Emily King and husband Kevin, of Clemmons, NC; great grandson, Staff Sgt and Flight Engineer, Taylor Devinney and wife Erica; two great grand daughters, Mary Paige King and Peyton King; great great grandson, Ashton Devinney; great great grand daughter, Tahlia and loving and always attending niece, Linda Hodge Hawkins.
Louise was preceded in death along with her parents and by her husband, Billy Douglas Tudor and sister, Mildred Haynes Hodge.
