Louise Fulcher Whitt

March 30, 1930 — November 8, 2023

Louise Fulcher Whitt, 93, of Eden, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 8, 2023, at her home with Hospice and her sons by her side.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Overlook Cemetery in Eden. The family will receive friends from 10:00am-10:45am Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Fair Funeral Home prior to proceeding to Overlook Cemetery.

Louise was born on March 30, 1930 in Leaksville, NC. She was the daughter of the late Dollie Boulding Fulcher and Daniel Webster Fulcher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, David, sister, Betty Sue Chapman, and brother, James Daniel Fulcher.

We all know David was waiting at the heavenly gates to welcome his “Lou” to her eternal home.

Louise spent her career at Fieldcrest as a quality control tech. She was a devoted spouse, mother, grandmother, and friend. She always made sure everybody was okay and didn’t need anything.

Louise loved collecting things, from dolls to antiques. She would travel to various shows to see what treasure she could find. She loved to travel when the opportunity presented itself, whether it was with friends or a “girl’s trip”. Louise spent a lot of time at the beach. Whether she was there to relax, take in the sun and salty air, go to the flea-market, or collect shells after the storms; she enjoyed life there.

Louise had a passion and talent for painting. You could find her going to an art show or taking a class. She displayed her art in various galleries throughout the years.

Louise leaves behind cherished memories and her family and friends will forever hold close the moments spent with her.

Those left to cherish her memory include sons, Gary Whitt and Ken Whitt; grandchildren, Amy Lee (Michael), Stephanie Gibby; great-grandchildren, Lynden, Michael, Jr., Brandon (Ashlyn), and Hunter (Madison); great-great-grandchildren, Chloe and Colby.
