Lois Slaughter Hayden Quesinberry passed away early Friday morning, April 28, 2017, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, May 2, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening, 6 - 8 PM at Fair Funeral Home.
A native of Rockingham County, NC, Lois was born September 3, 1929, daughter of the late Elisha and Eliza Rodgers Slaughter. She was a graduate of Draper High School and was a lifetime member of Osborne Baptist Church where she active in the Ladies Bible Class for many years. Lois also was a former volunteer for Hospice of Rockingham County as well as the Meals-On-Wheels program. She retired from Fieldcrest Mills.
She is survived by son, Robert Hayden (Diane) of Ruffin; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Haden Quesinberry; sons, John Slaughter, Joe Hayden, and Mike Hayden; daughter, Beverly Jean Peters; sister, Betty Atkins and Patsy Balach; brother, James Slaughter; and daughter-in-law, Brenda Hayden.
