Lois Mae Clark Letchford

Lois Mae Clark Letchford, 67 of 200 Howe St. in Eden, passed away early Thursday morning, February 26, 2015 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.

A funeral service will be held at 4 PM on Sunday, March 1, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. The family will have a private graveside service at Huntington Creek Cemetery in Big Island, VA for immediate family and friends on Sunday, March 8 at 2 PM.

Mrs. Letchford was born April 23, 1947 in Farmville, VA to the late Lewis R. Clark, Sr. and Minnie Mae Bailey Clark.

She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Dunford and special friend, Christopher White of Eden, and Crystal Letchford of Huddleston, VA; sons, Samuel Letchford and wife, Marlana of Bedford, VA, and Joseph Letchford and his fiancee', Joanna Kidd of Pearisburg, VA; nine grandchildren; brothers, Lewis Clark and wife, Meredith, David Clark and wife, Phyllis, Michael Love and Teddy Clark and wife, Laura, all of Bedford, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel H. Letchford, Jr.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday (3 - 4 PM) at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
