Lizzie Carsey Hamm

Lizzie Carsey Hamm, 68, of 429 Riverside Drive in Eden, passed away Thursday morning, February 21, 2019, at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, February 25, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Ridgeview Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends Sunday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home.

Lizzie was born October 1, 1950 in Patrick County, Virginia, to the late Carl Henry Hamm and Eva Fisher Hamm.  She was formerly an inspector for Fieldcrest Mills and was of the Baptist faith.  Lizzie loved shopping and, most of all, taking care of her family.

She is survived by significant other, Pamela Sparks of the home;  sons, Randy Strong of Asheboro and Jerry Sparks of the home; brothers, Billy Hamm (Charlotte) of Mayodan and Joe Hamm (Brenda) of Sparta;  half-brother, Jack Holley of Spencer, VA;  two half-sisters, Edith Dillon of Eden and Priscilla Waggoner of Danville, VA;  and several nieces and half-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Joycie Blakely and three siblings, Peggy, Marylee and Rufus.
