Linton Clay Moore age 66 of 9510 NC Hwy 700, Ruffin passed away on Saturday evening January 4, 2014 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.

A graveside service will be held 1 pm Wednesday at Dan River Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with military rites performed by the Rockingham County Honor Guard. A visitation will be held at Fair Funeral Home from 11 till 12:30 p.m. prior to proceeding to the cemetery for the graveside service.

Linton was born November 9, 1947 in Rockingham County. He was a self-employed carpenter and a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a Licensed Private Pilot and a bluegrass musician.

He was preceded by his father, Carl Leonard Moore.

Linton is survived by his wife, Rita Hill Moore of the home; sons Jason Moore and wife Mollie of Ruffin, Darren Moore and wife Amy of Keeling, VA; mother, Alease Moore of Ruffin; sisters June Stader of Reidsville and Debbie Mills of Ferrum, VA.; brother, Charles Moore of Roxboro, NC; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; and his companion "Samson".
