Linda Louise Carter Hopkins

Linda Carter Hopkins, 73, of 152 Cricket Road in Eden, passed away Thursday evening, July 21, 2016 at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, July 25, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Linda was born May 19, 1943 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Gent and Gracie Wray Carter.  She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her husband of more than 57 years, Samuel D. Hopkins of the home;  daughter, Cathy Watkins (Randy) of Eden;  son, Wayne Hopkins (Teresa) of Stoneville;  four grandchildren, Amanda Carter, Melanie Kennon, Wayne Hopkins, Jr., and Heather Hopkins, all of Eden;  four great-grandchildren, Cailin Carter, R. J. Kennon, Landon Carter and Gage Kennon, all of Eden;  brother, Charles Carter of Eden;  and sister, Nancy Price, of Ridgeway, VA.  

The family will receive friends Sunday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 14160 NC 87 North, Eden, NC 27288.
