Lillie Sawyer Taylor

Lillie Sawyers Taylor, 89, passed away May 26, 2022 at her home in Eden, NC.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, May 29th at Overlook Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Donnie Robinette.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Fair Funeral Home.

Lillie was born September 8, 1932 in Rockingham County to the late Sam M. Sawyers and Beatrice Hopkins Sawyers.  She loved spending time with her family and friends.  Lillie enjoyed listening to gospel music.  Her fur baby, Sam, was a delight to her.

She is survived by her sons; Darryl Taylor (Dana) of Eden, Jason Taylor of Reidsville, Jerome Williams (Teresa) and Joel Williams, all of Eden; two daughters, Shirley Talbott (Roy) of Eden and Juanita Dooley (Jerry) of Axton, VA; grandchildren, Brandon and Maegan Taylor, Brittany and Crystal Taylor, Chris Williams, Brian Harris, Ingrid McCraw; great-grandchildren, Madison and Ava Harris, Liam and Spencer McCraw, Bradley Law, Ellie Gann, Cloe and Aubrey Cox; sister, Orene Martin of Ruffin, VA

Lillie is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee Taylor; grandson, Spencer Joel Williams; brother, Bud Sawyers; sisters, Gladys Odell, Virginia Stratton and Christine Vernon.
