Leone Taylor Gilbert

January 10, 1928 — December 8, 2023

Leone Taylor Gilbert, 95, passed away Friday, December 8^th at the Eden Rehabilitation Center in Eden, NC.
There will be a funeral service at Fair Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, December 13^th at 2:00pm. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Stoneville Municipal Cemetery in Stoneville, NC.
Leone or “Nana” was born January 10, 1928 to the late George B. Taylor and Edna Craddock Taylor in Rockingham County. She loved her family, working in the yard, and keeping a clean and neat home. One of her favorite things to do was having food prepared for her family. Leone was employed 50 years at Gem Dandy, Inc. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stoneville, NC.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Peggy Gilbert Odell (Jerry) of Stoneville; brother, Leroy Taylor (Inez) of Madison and one grandson, Brad Odell (Heather) of Wilmington, NC.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Ray Gilbert; brothers, Raymond, Coy, Ben, Harry Taylor; sisters, Ruby Mabe, Nora Smith, Belva Jones, Ila Case.
