Larry Wayne Priddy, age 69 of Greensboro National Golf Club in Summerfield, passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, February 9, 2011. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, February 12, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden. Mr. Priddy was the son of the late Silas and Gladys Parrish Priddy of Stoneville. Larry was retired after 20 plus years of service with the Federal Government. After graduating from St. Andrews Presbyterian College, he served in the Army Special Forces in Germany. He began his career with the Veteran���?�??s Administration and worked with the Dept. of Housing and Urban Development for the remainder of his public career. He also worked in the Mortgage Banking Industry for several years. After retiring, he enjoyed travelling and working with his wife in the real estate development business in Washington, DC and throughout North Carolina. Larry enjoyed playing golf with his friends and family and was a member at Olde Beau Country Club in Roaring Gap, NC where he also owned a home. He loved to travel, was an avid Duke fan and enjoyed football, golf, basketball and his beloved Yankees. His most enjoyment came from being with his wife, son and daughter, grandchildren, his brothers, cousins and Duchess. He is survived by his loving wife, Juanita Waddell Priddy of Summerfield; his son and daughter-in-law Dale and Lori Priddy of Kernersville; his daughter April Priddy of Greensboro; his son and daughter-in-law Jeff and Jaime Jones of Roaring Gap, his brothers George Priddy of Eden, Ronald Priddy and wife Linda of Stoneville and Bobby Priddy of Stoneville; grandchildren Katelin, Rhyann and Dylan Mitchell of Greensboro, and was predeceased by his brother LJ Priddy of Eden. He is also survived by cousins Wayne ���??Blue���?�?? Priddy and wife Jo of Stoneville and Dolan Priddy and wife Ann of Stoneville, his brother ?�?�in-law Jim and wife Taryn Waddell of Cane Hill, Arkansas, and several nieces and nephews. He leaves behind his dear friends Dick Comer of Stoneville, Boyd Watkins of Greensboro and his former wife, Barbara Lemons Priddy of Greensboro. At home, bereft by the loss of her master, he also leaves Duchess, his Doberman Pinscher. The family will receive friends Friday evening, 6 - 8 PM at Fair Funeral Home.
