Larry Wayne Hopkins

Larry Wayne Hopkins, 67, passed away on Friday, December 9th at UNC Rockingham Hospital in Eden.

There will be a graveside service Monday, December 12th at 11:00am in the Overlook Cemetery, Eden, NC. The family will be at the graveside that day for a visitation from 10:30-11:00am. Full Military Honors will be provided by the Rockingham County Veterans Honor Guard.

Larry was born January 29, 1955 to the late Herman Franklin Hopkins and Geneva Martin Hopkins, in Henry County of Virginia.  He served in the US Army with a rank as Specialist. Mr. Hopkins worked at Pannell Knitting as a machine operator. He also worked at AC Furniture.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Judy Marie Meeks Hopkins; daughter, Melody Hopkins of Winston Salem, NC; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; step mother, Roena Hopkins of Ridgeway, VA; brother, Ricky Franklin Hopkins of Martinsville, VA and brother in-law Dave Meeks of Ridgeway, VA

Larry is preceded in death by a son, Steven Wayne Hopkins and a daughter, Melissa Dawn Hopkins; one brother, Mike Hopkins.
