Kenon Shay Hickman

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kenon Shay Hickman, age 31, who passed away on March 8, 2026.

Kenon was a beloved son, brother, father, and friend whose presence brought humor and passion to the lives of those who knew him.

He had a deep love for music—especially the loud, unforgettable sounds of the 70s, 80s, and 90s—and could often be found turning up songs from bands like Cinderella, Blackberry Smoke, and Neil Young. You could always catch him strumming his guitar and singing ballads. He was also an avid fan of professional wrestling and rarely missed the chance to watch a match. These passions were part of what made him so uniquely himself.

Above all, Kenon was proud to be a father. He was the father of Emma and, just four months ago, welcomed his beautiful daughter McKenna Grace into the world—a role that meant everything to him. Though his time with his girls was far too short, his love for them will always remain part of their story.

Kenon will be remembered for his personality, his passions, and the memories he shared with family and friends. His loss leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved him.

He is survived by his daughters, McKenna and Emma; his parents, Diana and Bobby; his siblings, Kendra, Kevin, Julian, and Alexis; his grandparents, Bobby, Billy, Betsy, and Christy; his uncle Donald and cousin Cody; as well as many extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at Fair Funeral Home on March 13 at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
