Kenneth Wayne Booth

Kenneth Wayne Booth, 51, of 1434 South Avenue, passed away Saturday evening, August 28, 2010. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, September 2, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Booth was born December 20, 1958 in Draper, NC. He was a long-time employee of Osbourne Inc and most recently employed by Fluor Daniels at Miller / Coors. Kenny had a great love for outdoor sports which was proven by his outstanding skills and ability for the sport of hunting and fishing. He enjoyed riding "free" for many hours and miles with his wife and fellow biker families on their motorcycle. Also very important to Kenny was his undying love for coaching young men and women for many years in this community. Surviving is his wife, Lisa Carpenter Booth of the home; son, Drake Booth; daughter, Blair Booth; parents, Carl Booth, Sr. and Jean Booth; brother, Carl Booth, Jr. and wife, Carolyn; two sisters, Julia Booth Berry and husband, Bill of Gainsville, FL and Vicki Booth Webb and husband, John of Mooresville; nieces, Britni Booth, Carla Jo Booth, and Amanda Berry; nephews, Chris Stanley, Ryan Fanant, and Willis Booth, whom Kenny nicknamed "Slim"; extended family, James Booth family, Evon James family, Ronnie Booth family, Dot Booth Bush family, and Gracie Turner family. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Willis Booth; maternal grandfather, Charlie Roach; maternal grandmother, Clara Roach Huff; mother-in-law, Doris P. Carpenter; and father-in-law, Buck B. Carpenter. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, 6 8 PM at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home.
