Kenneth Bradley Smith, 59 of Eden, passed away peacefully Friday, March 13, 2026, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.
A funeral service will be held at Fair Funeral Home on **Wednesday, March 18th at 2:00PM**. Visitation will be held the night prior, **Tuesday, March 17th from 5-7PM**. The family will receive visitors at the home, at other times, 133 Wimbish Rd. Eden NC.
Ken was born on October 4, 1966 in Los Angeles County California.to the late Conrad Jackson Smith and Norma Pack Smith. Ken was a hardworking and dedicated man who spent much of his life serving his community as the owner of Ken Smith Heating and Cooling, where he worked for many years providing heating and air services to local homes and businesses. Ken took pride in his work and was known for being dependable, honest and always willing to help someone in need.
Outside of work, Ken had a deep love for music. He enjoyed playing the bass guitar and relaxing while listening to his favorite songs. Ken was also in several bands over the years. Music brought him a lot of joy and was something he loved sharing with family and friends.
Ken will be remembered for his strong work ethic, kind heart and the love he had for his family and the simple things in life.
He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Tanya Smith, son, Benjamin Jackson Smith, "BJ" (Heather), step daughter Heather Hacker (Jerry) and Makenna French (Trenton) and stepson Frank Burroughs. He is also survived by his brother, Steve Smith (Anna) of Fuquay Varina, sister, Teresa Sullivan (Richard). Richard was Ken's life long best friend. Nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents Ken is preceded in death by his brother Chuckie Smith and stepson Ryan Burroughs.
