Katherine "Kathy" Margaret Wilson Bridges

Katherine “Kathy” Margaret Wilson Bridges, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at the age of 62. 
A memorial service will be held 3pm, Saturday, March 26th, at First Church of the Brethren - 730 Church St, Eden, NC 27288.

Kathy was born July 3, 1959 in Fort Knox, Kentucky, to the late Barbara Radford Cox and Lynwood Percy Wilson.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, John Clifton Bridges; her sister, Patricia Wilson Roach; and her brother, Paul Franklin Wilson.

Kathy was a lifelong member of the First Church of the Brethren in Eden and, while she spent many years as a payroll and bookkeeping clerk for Fieldcrest Cannon and later for Susan Kallam, CPA, her children were always her priority.  Kathy was an avid reader and took pride in spoiling her grandchildren at every opportunity. She was also well-versed in Glen Campbell trivia.

She is survived by her children, Anna Apple and husband Tommy, Jessica Villanueva, John Bridges and wife Jennifer; siblings Debbie Whitley and husband Danny, Velna Richardson and husband Joe, and Michael Wilson and wife Nancy; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved grandchildren Caitlyn, Christin, Zak, Ava, Barrett, Henry and one grandchild on the way.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Hospice of Rockingham County, in particular Kim Pyron, for the care they provided.
