Judith M. Smith

Judith McDaniel Smith age 79 formerly of Virginia Street, Eden went to be with the Lord on Friday March 20, 2015.

A funeral service will be held 4 pm Sunday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Smith was born February 2, 1936 in the Draper section of Eden to the late Clyde and Estelle McDaniel. She was of the Baptist Faith.

Preceding her in death along with her parents was her husband, James V. Smith and a brother, Frank McDaniel.

Surviving are son, Kenneth Swayze and Judy of Reidsville; daughter, Karen "Kay" Lawson and husband James of Reidsville; grandchildren, Laura Southard and husband Jason of Stokesdale and Caitlin Rierson and husband Chris of Eden; great grandchildren, Lane and Mattie Southard and Eli Rierson; brother Robert "Bobby" McDaniel of Eden.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 3 -4 pm and other times at the home of her daughter, 2600 Ashley Loop Road, Reidsville.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the nursing staff at Morehead Nursing Center and to Dr. Terry Daniels.
