She loved Jesus and wasn’t afraid to tell anyone that. She most of all loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. They were everything to her. She took so much pride in all her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Junior Vernon; brother, Johnny Hamilton, Jr. (Hazel d.), Clifford Hamilton (Linda d.); sisters, Mable Hicks (Junior d.) and Geraldine Hamilton Gordon (Alvin); and Francis Patton (Jerry d.).
Joyce is survived by her son, Rodney Vernon (Renee); son, Brian Vernon (Christy); and daughter, Renee Vernon (Max); grandchildren, Lacey Vernon, Conner Vernon, Kayleigh Vernon, Nick Vernon (Lexi), Karleigh Vernon, Alex Howell, Bryce Howell, and Brentlee Howell; 1 great-grandson, Braylen; and her fur baby, Cheeto, whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by her brothers, Robert Hamilton (Brenda d.), Jackie Hamilton (Shirley d.), and Tommy Hamilton; and sister, Louise Jarrett (Paige d.), along with a lot of nieces and nephews who she cherished with all her heart.
