Joyce Martin Land

Joyce Martin Land, 86, of Eden, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 16, 2022, at her home.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 11am, at Overlook Cemetery in Eden.

Joyce was born October 28, 1935, to the late Nick Martin and Rosa DeHart Martin, in Rockingham County, NC. She worked for many years as a hairdresser, owning and operating her own business. Joyce loved spending time with her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Gene Land; daughters, Renay Land Gilley (Robert M.) of Eden, Mysti Dawn Billingsley (Daniel) of Thomasville; grandchildren, Casey Steven Land and Harley Wyatt McDaniel.

In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her daughter, Tanya Aileen Smart; sisters, Evelyn Pulliam, Maxine Jones, June Kendrick; brothers, Roy Martin, Carl Martin.
