Joyce Jones Eggleston

Joyce Jones Eggleston, 86, of Eden, went to be with her Heavenly Father Monday, April 3, 2023 at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 11am Friday, April 7, 2023, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Reidsville. Visitation will be held 5-7pm Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Fair Funeral Home.
The family will also meet at other times at  the home, 215 Clifton Street, Eden, NC.

Joyce was born October 9, 1936, in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Albert Brame and Audrey Webb Perkins. She was a member of First Wesleyan Church in Eden. Joyce worked as a hostess for many years at Howard’s Steak House.

Joyce was a faithful servant of the Lord who loved to witness and share the word of God to everyone she met. Her happiest times were when she was surrounded by her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Audrey Chilton of Eden, Patricia Law of Ridgeway, Carol Smith (Stanley) of Eden, Jennifer Haynes (Michael) of Eden; sisters, Norma Corum (Joel), Sandra Proctor (Ken); brother, Howard Tate (Beverly); nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her first husband, James Ronald Jones; second husband, Paul Leonard Eggleston; sister, Sue Ann Tate; brothers, Linley Tate, Sr., Jerry Tate, Jackie Tate.

Special thanks to her granddaughter, Angela Crawford, for many hours of devotion.
