Joseph Lee Mize

Joseph Lee Mize, 63, of 405 Gardner St., passed away in Reidsville, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Annie Penn Memorial Hospital. A graveside service will be held at 4 PM on Friday, April 8, at Danview Cemetery. Mr. Mize was born April 3, 1948 in Leaksville, NC, son of the late Leonard Jackson and Pricie Salmons Mize. He was a 1966 graduate of Morehead High School and a US Navy Veteran. He was a talented musician and played for many churches and local bands. Mr. Mize was a member of Cascade Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving is his daughter, Tanya Nicole Pruitt of Eden; son, John Mize of Eden; and sister, Dorothy Farmer of Reidsville. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sons, Joseph "Joey" Mize, Jr. and Jesse Mize.
